HAQ Greece is committed to assist both the supply side (slaughterhouses, meat processing units, cold cuts producers etc) and demand side (retailers, consumer groups, religious groups etc) of meat products to the direction of offering and/or obtaining halal meat that meets all the criteria for both high quality and halal correctness.

In doing so it can be part of any action towards the growth of this market that could be taken by governmental authorities, universities, research teams, NGO’s, religious groups, industries, wholesalers, retailers and consumers aiming at establishing a common understanding of halal.

In specific, members of our body worked with the Ministry of Agriculture in drafting the new Greek legislation regarding ritual slaughtering of 2017 and the interpretive texts that were issued afterwards to fix some of the initial side effects

Apart from that, HAQ Greece can offer its advisory services to public and private sector and engage in providing consultation towards any aspect of halal industry and markets, in Greece, the Balkans and elsewhere.
